Nick visited this week!

It started with a day at school,

where Nick entertained his adoring fans.

Autographs were signed,

and toothpaste was a coveted gift.

On Tuesday, after punching the clock and watching students take a test,

we traveled into the valley to visit the Dzong and explore.

Nick posed for a Maybelline comercial

while I posed for a sunglasses commercial.

Of course we had to go see the world's largest statue of Buddha,

and take one of our only pictures together in front of it.

Sometime later we ventured on a trek to Bumdra monastery and saw Paro Taktsang on the way.

Halfway up and he aint even tired.

Five hours later we made it up into the rain and the clouds

to the most peaceful place,

where we set our tent up wrong.

The next morning was clear, cold, and according to Nick not a good time to take pictures.

 But I disagreed.

A bit later Nick had to do his annual check of the rice crop.

and cheer on his favorite archers at the archery tournament.

All of that was finished before visiting the ruins of a Bhutanese fortress

where the walls were as thick as his arm span.

And many bhutanese had placed their loved ones ashes.

We took another picture together

and Nick took one alone.

Then he left and I went home to sadness and beetles.
